Description:For the week of May 12th through 16th, note these traffic alerts for Campbell County:
  • Eastbound traffic on US 460 between Virginia 681 and 682 may be delayed due to shoulder repairs.
  • Surface repairs may delay traffic on Virginia 646 and 652 in Gladys; 686, 696, and 711 in Yellow Branch; and the Poplar Forest subdivision.
  • During daylight hours, waterline placement will reduce Virginia 24 to one lane between Virginia 2808 and 651. That work should be completed by the end of the month.
  • Motorists should be alert for construction on Virginia 43 between Windy Ridge and 14th Avenue.

Event: Bridge Safety Inspections

Description:It's bridge inspection time in Lynchburg and Campbell County. On Wednesday, May 21st, VDOT crews will inspect the Route 650 bridge over Molly's Creek near Gladys. On Thursday, May 22nd, crews will inspect the Route 660 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Rail near Lynchburg and the Route 29 bridge over the Rail and Va. 677 near the Route 501 exit in Lynchburg.
