  • Suspect Sought After Minnesota Officer Killed During Traffic Stop

    iStock/Thinkstock(WEST ST. PAUL, Minn.) -- A manhunt is on Wednesday in West St. Paul, Minnesota, for a man who shot a police officer to death during a routine traffic stop.

    Authorities identified the officer as 47-year-old Scott Patrick. He had been with the Mendota Heights Police Department since 1995.

    "We heard the shots and saw the cop lying there," Ryan Carpentier told the Star-Tribune. "He was completely motionless."

    Theodore Wafer, 55, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Renisha McBride, 19, after she showed up on his porch in Dearborn Heights during the early morning of Nov. 2, 2013.
